Rsm 250 help

In the painfully slow process of setting up my RSM 130 with an external sump myself. Would be nice to see if anyone else has done the same thing

Yes I have done it.
I did it with a Tunze over flow just recently I went to a CPR overflow.
I cut part of the basket divider to make the CPR overflow fit in Ian using a waveline pump connected to my apex system ( the pump is a 660GPH pump but have it turned down to 330 GPh)
Please my videos to see what I did ( its been over a year now everything is grea)
Feel free to ask any questions

I have JBJ AIO 45 gal tank

Awesome stuff Bob I'll definitely check out the vids. My tank is already drilled awaiting my sump for the hard plumbing but I myself will be putting in a bean animal overflow (No going back as the rather large hole's are already in). Easier for me as my tank is empty lol

Ah good for you. I thought of doing the bean animal ( which you can do a modified version without drilling any holes)
So my stupid question is you bought a AIO the drilled it or did you have it filled emptied it and then drill it?

No such thing as a stupid question. I'm totally new to the hobby aND always question the things I do lol I had the tank drilled before setting it up. Unfortunately it's still not up and running but getting there, I keep coming up with insane ideas to do. And once the ball gets rolling again on my build a few more things will pop up. The big decision in adding the sump right off the bat was I was thinking about the potential of adding one down the road and didn't want to have to go through the trouble.

Duh a Red Sea reefer 170 did you sY
Did it already have the tank drilled and have a sump?

Good suggestion but I honestly prefer the closed lid of the MAX C130 over the reefer 170. It's a personal thing I know lol and plus I wanted the redundancy of the Bean animal overflow which means I'd be drilling the reefer 170 anyway. And I got my MAX for 25% off brand new so added bonus there.
