I am looking into adding an extra light for coral growth, and was wondering what would be the best way to go about it without removing the hood from my RSM 130d,I've seen different options, one being replacing the current 55w T5 compact for an LED bulb and the other option an LED strip. Could anyone advice please

I added two AI Primes inside my hood, it was a pain but looked awesome. Steve's LEDs (mentioned above) and Nanobox both have LED kits for the max 130

Inside the hood? That might be too close to the water...

The only downside to having them that close was that the spread on the lights was pretty minimal so I needed two and had to space them out perfectly. Other than that I had no issues :)

Josh,
That makes sense.
I took my ole / 201o / 130 rimless and hung the original Kessil A350w over it. Then put in the Aquamaxx HOB skimmer in the back chamber. Saw one guy that modded in an old (G2) Radion XR30 pro into his hood... :D

:)
