RSR 250 Lighting Question

Morning/Afternoon,

I am looking to finally upgrade my lights on my reefer 250 from x2 primehd. I am looking to do dominant SPS with the usual Zoas/Torches at bottom. I was thinking of going with x2 XR30 Blue to try and take away alot of the shadowing and install them in vertical position to catch front and back of tank, one of the reasons I was thinking xr30 is that I would like to upgrade my tank within the next 1-2 years so wanted to know people's opinion if this is way over kill and just go with x2 xr15 or what are people's opinons.

I am also going to be upgrading my tank within the coming months. I am going to go from two AI Prime HDs to two Hydra 32s, which I will then switch over to my 525 I plan on buying. (and buy two more Hydras)

Another choice I was thinking of was x2 xr15s and get a hybrid 36in instead or hell just add a hybrid and keep the AIs?

I have the same tank with two xr30 G5’s oriented front to back and it covers the whole tank but a little overkill. I think I would’ve been fine with 3 XR15’s.

I would say xr30 is a lot of light. You will run Intensity pretty low. They will give a nice blanket of light but I wonder how much spill over in the room.
Have you watched the BRS video for The Radions?
