Ok my new RSR 250 is at about 45 gallons of new saltwater. Time to add some rock I think.

Got a bunch of new, cured rock today from LFS. Adding that, then sand, seems like a no brainer, I have a goby/pistol shrimp pair who have build underground tunnels so I want to put base rock down first. HOWEVER...one of the rocks I want on the bottom, actually as a stand alone piece, has some of my fav corals on it in my current tank; Duncan, Hammer, acans etc...no sps, just LPS and some zoas.

Not sure when to put that in the tank.

Do I just wait until I am ready to move livestock and try to clear a spot on the bottom for it?

So confused right now. It's like an algebra problem where I don't know the order of operations.

You could take all the corals off, pull it out of your current tank and put it in your new tank. In the meantime you can put the corals on a frag rack or just on another rock.
