So late last night my wife told me the RTBA's were acting strange.
Sure enough I got outa bed and took a look and they were.

I took a short video here of them at lunch, note the last time something like this happened one split into 3.. don't know what to think. Just for reference, we recently did a 30 gallon water change due to a xenia fragging incident ( they didn't survive ), but BEFORE and AFTER the water change the water params tested just fine, nitrates 0 gravity 1.026 temp 76 etc.. We did it just to be sure. So heres the video.. FYI Normally both these RTBA's during the day span about a foot or more, they are all tiny and shriveled.

You mentioned they are acting strange... is their smaller size the only strange action?

They Both normally are around 12 to 18 inches at the head, and about 4 to 6 inches round at the base, now both are about 2 inches at the base and 2 to 3 at the head.

Anemones can contract for a variety of reasons, not all of which are bad. They may be responding to the xenia incident or maybe its completely innocent. Just keep things stable and keep an eye on them for signs of distress (e.g., movement, egestion of guts and acontia, complete deflation, loss of color, etc.). In my experience BTAs are moody little things - give 'em some time to fluff back up. Hopefully someone else with a similar observation can shed some more specific advice. Keep us updated!
