RTN branch of RR Grapejuice

OK. first time for me. I turned off my bigger tunzes last night and left 1 small tunze and my mp40w es on the lowest constant setting. was left overnight as so and i woke up this morning one of my branches of my RR Grapejuice colony has RTN'd. is it because of the low flow? i know for sure the colony was fine last night before going to bed. i also know there was circulation in the whole tanks since everything was moving. What gives? oh:

I am not sure why but this randomly happened to one of my tabling acro colonies as well. I used the dremel to cut of all areas that were rtning and then I coated the fresh cut areas and some of the nearby tissue in super glue. I have not scene the rtn since, knock on wood.

thanks Kelby, i'll do that as soon as i get home on my lunch break. it was such a weird random thing. did you have your pumps/flow in tank on low also?

Yea, the part that was rtning was actually receiving almost no direct flow, which was probably a stupid mistake now that I think back.

Make sure you cut ALL of the rtn branch and some of the healthy tissue nearby off. I coated the fresh cut in super glue to decrease the chance of returning rtn but it is not a necessity. I hope this works for you!
