Ruble for reef bed

Any reason why I shouldn't use aragonite for a calcium reactor as a ruble bed in a high flow area of my reef?
 
The only reason I can think of is that then you won’t have a bare bottom in that area?
Otherwise it would be fine-
go for it!
 
Other than the detritus that needs to be cleaned from extra course rubble bottoms, not really.

Ive seen whole displays done with rubble but they were very deep rubble beds.

This is the only photo i could find if their oldest display theyve moved from shop to shop. Its about a 300g peninsula.
You can just barely see the crushed coral/rubble bottom.

Actually, I'll be visiting the Bay Area in April. Thanks for the suggestion!
