Ruby head wrasse

Would a ruby head wrasse be ok with sexy shrimp or will it make a meal of them??

I'm not an expert, but I don't think it will bother the shrimp, but like other wrasses, it may bother the surface of the water while jumping!!! Probably need a cover/lid on the display.

Let's get @4FordFamily or @melypr1985 in for a second opinion in case I've got my wrasses mixed up.

Last time I said something about my ruby head others on here disagreed with me. Some wrasse take a liking to shrimp. My ruby is one of those. Mine has eaten 3 cleaners to date. Although I believe the percentages are way higher that yours won't.

I wouldn't mix it with a sexy shrimp. Usually fairy wrasses aren't that predatory toward inverts, but ruby heads get pretty big and sexy shrimp are small enough to be considered as food.

I think it is case by case but there's always a possibility of a wrass attacking other fish or shrimp...
