Every night, just as the lights are about to go out, my male and female Ruby Red pair do this dance together until it's dark. The male presents his extended dorsal fin for show, they lock pectoral fins, and then float upwards together until they hit the flow from the powerheads or the top of the tank. This happens a couple of dozen times until lights out and then they go their separate ways to sleep.
Sounds like an ideal marriage. . .
