So I had white velvet on my DT, unfortunatelly the clowns didnt make it, I started treating them with Ruby Reef, he label said to dose for 3 days, Ive noticed that within this 3 days my Birds nest started to bleach out, the GSP barely opens now, so I am doubting this thing is coral safe, I stopped using it, only dosed for 2 days, i dont think i would be using it anymore in my DT..

Exactly, thats like getting into a car with a stranger and the first thing he says is "dont worry I dont have a gun and I wont shoot you" ;)
It sucks dude, bcuz u buy the crap thinking itll safe your stuff..and it ends up killing the rest of it

Fwiw, I've used both kick ich and rally by ruby reef in my sps dominant (and in older soft and lps dominant) reef with no noticeable degradation in coral health. But I have seen others have similar situations to yours. I've found the effectiveness of the meds to be debatable when used in reefs, for sure, though.

Which med were you using?

Isnt that like the 1st thing everyone learns when starting a tank? There is no reef safe effective parasite treatment. No if/and/but. It does not exist. If it did, ich/velvet would be eradicated from the hobby because everyone would be using it.
