Run cupramine (copper) then hyposalinity for flukes

Can i do this? i want to use cupramine for about 20 days and then transfer the fish to another tank to do hyposalinity (1.010 - 1.012) to treating flukes. Only cupramine available in my country, and there is not prazi pro too. Does that 2 methods enough? Thanks

I would suggest extending the copper to 30 days. Yes you can use hypo salinity to cure flukes. But this method take time, again 30 days.

isnt cupramine too toxic for 30 days? and i dont mind waiting another 30 days for hypo. Is there any hypo resistant flukes?

Apologies I read copersafe. Yes the Cupramine is a 14 day period once you have reached the dosage level.
I am not 100% sure about the existence of any hypo resistant flukes but I cannot see this being possible and have certainly never come across any.

30 day best to cover life cycle of parasite and it is more potent as an ionic form of copper. Coppersafe is chelated and safer at mat 2.5 but safest at 2.25. Monitor with Hanna brand copper test kit. I recommend one or the other. . . either Hypo for 30 days or coppersafe for 30 days. There are several fish that are Not tolerant of either method

You will see that properly administered hyposalinity can be used to address both ich and flukes.

If you choose to use copper, as others mentioned, you should maintain the recommended concentration for 30 days for most reliable results. That's 2.25 - 2.50 for either Copper Power or Copper Safe, and for Cupramine that's 0.50.

Copper does not address flukes- Praziquantel (praziPro) does. Dose prazi at 85% of recommended with added oxygen via air stone, applying dose to last 8 days, then do a water change and apply one more 8 day application

Yes, your plan will work. You need to keep in mind that you HAVE to transfer them straight from copper to a clean sterile tank for it to work. You can actually do 14 days then transfer if you want.

For the flukes, I’ve used prazipro, huposainity, and fenbendazole. Prazipro is the least reliable IME. Hyposalinity works well. Here a an article I found that discusses it.

You could try Hypo at 1.009 for ich and flukes, but that’s not as reliable as copper IMO.
