Run uv and media reactor off the same pump

Hi i have a hang on fluidised bed filter ( converted to media reactor )running off a power head .
If i want to add a uv can i put it between the power head and fluid bed ?
I imagine that i wouldn't put it inline as i couldn't adjust separate flows, so would have to T piece out the main line thru uv and back in to main line.
If so i imagine i would put it before the fluid filter.
I have a tap and dont have it all the way open but close enough to.
The power head is 18oo lh and the uv specify's 600 lh .
I could check the flow to the uv by taking the tube off and filling a 10ltr bucket and timing it to work out the correct lph?
Or is there a much simpler way?

If you build yourself a manifold with check ball valves you can control how much flow goes to each.

Im ordering a sump next week and will be using pvc and plastic tube mix

The standard clear Oatley pvc cement or the quicker set blue hot glue by Oatley is safe. Be sure to use a cleaner and primer as well. I like to wait for a couple hours of dry time if yo can and I rinse it well before putting into service.
In an emergency I have glued and put back in service within minutes with no ill effects.
