lol true. I guess all that really matters is that I have all the blues that are needed for reef growthI think that’s kind of your only option. Algae wise this is the safest play for you.
Give it that morning rise and evening sundown kind of effect .. like I said there’s only 1 green and 1 red LED so just want to reduce algae growth as much as I can with using the ALL mode which is the blues whites 1 red and 1 green led I wouldn’t think would be much of an issue but it is a smaller tankI would do blues in morning for 2-3 hours then all for 4-6 then blues for 2-3 if possible
That would work. If you start to experience uncontrollable algae issues you can increase all blue time and decrease the all colorsI would do blues in morning for 2-3 hours then all for 4-6 then blues for 2-3 if possible
I’ll give it a go. If I could just take out the red and green leds this wouldn’t be an issue lol. That would work. If you start to experience uncontrollable algae issues you can increase all blue time and decrease the all colors
Control algae with water charges and algae grazers
Not by playing with the lights. Corals do need the other colors too not just blue
I’m going to run all blues still and add in the touch of whites unfortunately with the whites come with the 1 green and 1 red led but ill dim them down a bit My corals and their growth have been great under blues only and using reef roids 2 times this past week I’ve notice slight differences already. Just wanted to post this thread and see what everyone else thoughtI have definitely seen an decrease in algae with all blues. In my opinion all blue looks a little too harsh and a little white in there makes it look a little more natural. I’ve heard that white makes no impact on coral growth, I don’t know if that’s true or not, but mine have done well with almost all blue. I have about 15% white mixed in there throughout the day and completely blue for 2 hours a in the evening.
a little algae doesn't hurt nuthin'.
