I think that’s kind of your only option. Algae wise this is the safest play for you.

lol true. I guess all that really matters is that I have all the blues that are needed for reef growth

I would do blues in morning for 2-3 hours then all for 4-6 then blues for 2-3 if possible
Give it that morning rise and evening sundown kind of effect .. like I said there’s only 1 green and 1 red LED so just want to reduce algae growth as much as I can with using the ALL mode which is the blues whites 1 red and 1 green led I wouldn’t think would be much of an issue but it is a smaller tank

That would work. If you start to experience uncontrollable algae issues you can increase all blue time and decrease the all colors

I’ll give it a go. If I could just take out the red and green leds this wouldn’t be an issue lol.

I have definitely seen an decrease in algae with all blues. In my opinion all blue looks a little too harsh and a little white in there makes it look a little more natural. I’ve heard that white makes no impact on coral growth, I don’t know if that’s true or not, but mine have done well with almost all blue. I have about 15% white mixed in there throughout the day and completely blue for 2 hours a in the evening.

I’m going to run all blues still and add in the touch of whites unfortunately with the whites come with the 1 green and 1 red led but ill dim them down a bit My corals and their growth have been great under blues only and using reef roids 2 times this past week I’ve notice slight differences already. Just wanted to post this thread and see what everyone else thought
