Im rebooting my tank after learning from a year of mistakes. Im going the route of Biopellets, Skimmer, and a Algae reactor for pods. With GFO / Carbon on Standby if needed.

Ive already relocated my old tank and plan on bringing over the fish after a quarantine, and the coral at a later date if I can verify its pest free.

I dont plan on rushing the cycle and was wondering if I should run my filters during the cycle.

Any particular reason why you are starting the aquarium with Biopellets? I would think the Biopellets are more of a necessity of running than just a part of the filtration. Are you anticipating a Nitrate issue?

OH yeah. I would run the filters to start dialing things in.

Well from what I understand with bio pellets is that the sooner you start them the better they are, especially if they have 4-8 week break in period.
