Running External Skimmer In Sump? Also- ReefOctopus ID?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone ever run an external skimmer... not externally? I got this skimmer (picture below- unknown Reef Octopus. Anyone recognize it?) and I'm not exactly sure what my sump setup will be yet, but I'll likely not have the space outside the sump for it. I don't want a dry chamber reducing my total water volume to keep it "external".


The skimmer- anyone know the model or how to tell?

Take measurements of the foot print then Google it

Coralvue has lot of skimmer there also u could look at there website .best way to tell is taking the measurements then Google it

Don't know why that hadn't occurred to me. Thank you! Looks to be a 110EXT Recirculating.
