Hey everyone! I'm looking to add a reactor to my system, so that I can run GFO. However, as I've mentioned before, this is a 40g tank and my sump is small and ridiculously packed. I know BRS sells a mini reactor with a pump, but I still think that might be too big for the limited sump space I have. I was thinking of running GFO through a HOB filter, like a Eheim Liberty 130. I figure I will just put the GFO in a mesh bag and drop it in the HOB filter. Has anyone else tried this? Would the tumble rate be too much? Any advice is welcomed!

When GFO was 1st introduced someone well respected in the reefing community ran it in a cannister filter.
When it was time to change it out the GF was a rock & he had to destroy the cannister filter.
Therefore the "tumbling "method of use. If it's just in a bag & NOT taking up a full area I say OK, but doubtful it will tumble.
