Running hob carbon filter continuously

Thoughts on running a hang on back carbon filter continuously? I do it now. Clean filter every month or so. I'm sure bad idea lol but dunno stuff is doing well in the tank. Thoughts yall?

Nothing is bad about it. The carbon may be used up before the month depending on how much they put in and what kind. It might be helpful to rinse the filter cartridge once a week or so to keep it clean and remove crud
