The water cooling fans have become useless on my RSM C-250. It's not a question of replacing the fans at this point -- the entire casing has to go, as well, as the socket in the unit broke off. And I can't find any replacements at this point, although I've contacted Red Sea.

My tank is running at a constant 27C. I could leave the front of the hood open, or (with difficulty) take off the canopy itself, but I like the fact that evaporation is reduced with a closed hood. It's a rare thing if we get a day over 30C during the summer here, and the house never gets too hot. Should I just stop worrying about this and run the tank 2-3C higher than I'd like? I've got nothing in it right now except two orchid dottybacks, a multicolor angel, two hermits, a snail, and a whole bunch of algae.

that would be 80F and a safe high. I use a clip on fan for Auto/RV to cool my sump and it gives it a 2" drop.

It's actually sitting at 81F, with almost no variation between day and night. I do have a spare clip-on fan that I planned to use with my Evo, but with the shape of the RSM, I suppose it'd just be easier to keep part of the canopy open.
