Running Kalk reactor on opposite light schedule

I have been thinking of running a Kalk Stirrer / Reactor on the opposite ends of my lighting schedule to keep pH at a flat line.

While running a refugium on opposite schedules of my lighting, it still manages to dip to 8.0 from 8.2

I have a house full, with pets. I am also running a CaRx, Skimmer with scrubber.

How many of you are doing this with success ? Any feedback is great

I just let my pH dip at night and don't worry about it. The lights are off and the corals are closed up anyway - so I'm not sure I'd see a lot of benefit.

You are monitoring alk to be sure the amount dosed is appropriate, right?

I've been watching Reefdudes videos where a couple of members talk about their success and aiming for the PH Stability.

To keep pH from dipping at night a kalk reactor is ran.

This is going to be difficult as i have a calcium reactor already tuned in nicely i kinda don't want to mess with the drip or bubble rate. this is more to get a feel if anyone else has used the same method?

Lots of people have dosed kalkwasser only at night, but whether that is better than stabilizing alk by dosing more during the day may depend on how low the pH is getting.

I dosed it 24/7 by ATO for 20 years, but I think a dosing pump would be better.

I understand. I’m just suggesting that there are alternative ways to dose that may also carry benefits that do not come by dosing at night.
