Running lights on different intensity.

I recently added sps, birdsnest and monti to the high peak in my reef, I added a 3rd kessil a160we to supplement them as all other coral is soft/lps. I have the controller and capabilities to run two different lighting schedules. I wanted to leave my two end lights at 55-60% intensity and run the light i have angled at the sps in specific at a higher level say 90-100 %. Any reason not to do this? Cant ind any mention easily of someone doing something similar.
