Running RODI with boil advisory?

We were very fortunate to be safe early this week with tornadoes that ripped through the Dayton area but we are under a boil advisory and have lower water pressure than normal.

Would using my RODI be a bad idea with the boil advisory, lower pressure, and lots of air in the lines?

I have 10-15 gallons (about a week) left for top off but not sure when the water will be back to normal around here.

I suspect the boil advisory is from them temporarily not being able disinfect the water meaning there may be some potentially harmful bacteria in the water (at least for human consumption). I am by no means an expert in RO/DI systems, but I don't think they are meant to sterilize rather they simply pull the dissolved solids out.

If it were me, I'd probably either boil the RO/DI water or hit it with my UV sterilizer that I use when backpacking. Maybe it's not necessary, but seems like a simple enough precautionary measure.

That’s kind of what I was thinking but wasn’t sure. I will have to go buy a stainless pot because we have copper cookware.

We were extremely lucky! We are on 8 acres and an EF2 landed in the back of the property and went diagonal off the property instead of towards the house.

Unfortunately it stayed on the ground for 7 miles and destroyed some houses and businesses. We only had some minor damages.
