Running two tanks with one apex

The Apex system can be expanded with additional modules, probes, EnergyBars, etc. Up to 49 modules are supported, so you could run many tanks with a single Apex if you choose. Just decide what you want to monitor on the 2nd tank, and as long as it's within the 200 foot limit of AquaBus cables (total length for your whole setup) then you can place modules near the other tank to connect devices and probes. Each module, input, and output can be named to help you identify which tank it's related to, and you can organize the tiles on your dashboard to group the aquariums.

See my Apex Hardware Overview for a full list of all the available modules:

Define "run"?

Apex can control simple ON/OFF equipment and also control monitoring equipment.

You could share ON/OFF schedules with simple equipment like lights

But any monitoring equipment like heaters or pH, I don't see how one Apex could differentiate two separate tanks

I'd get on the Apex forums and pose this question
