Hey guys,

My BTA split into three last year (Dec 11).

Two of the halves moved to the top of the rock and have been going great, developing new tentacles, mouths and eating regularly.

One of them though has never really fully inflated and instead decided to move himself into the dark behind the rock, he’s been here for a few weeks now.

Compared to the others it is very small, never really opens up fully, doesn’t get any light behind the rock and also barely ever eats (maybe a small portion since last year).

Water parameters are good and no other anemones are behaving this way, should I be concerned or is this normal considering the other anemones have already healed?

Nems will move where they feel most comfortable. If it's still under some sort of stress from the initial split, it could just be that nems method of recovery. I've had other btas that have done similar things after splits. I would just make sure you do some a small target feeding about once a week if it will take food. Also, it may just be the camera, but they do look a little on the pale side as far as coloration.

Thanks, I’ll try some spot feeding with brine shrimp maybe, I could also try ReefRoids?

Yeah even with the camera saturation they are definitely more pale than before the split, but they have been improving slowly.
