Russian reef lad labs new beams LED modules

What you guys think about it?

His other lights are decent, and the knowledge seems like it is there.

The gap is customer service.

Could you please post pictures of your fixture. Coz I'm looking forward to get those assemblies for my upcoming 200 g. Could you elaborate about their customer service? What difficulties did you face and how did they correspond?

Also how long have you been running their lights and its pros and cons? How's the growth have been under those ...

I can't right now sorry, out of town. It looks like a wooden box with some pucks in it.

Just hard to get a hold of, it is just one guy dmitry and he is russian, so that's what you get.

No big difficulties, just getting information was tricky. I also asked for prefered lighting times and basically got directed to russian forums.

8 months, sometimes the light blue channel goes out because the connector isnt that great and you can't tell unless you ramp all other channels down.

Growth is good, my sps have been having trouble but that is more because of running so many corals in a 20 gal and being able to go off tracks so quickly. Alk up, Alk down, etc, even on a doser.

Yeah but you don't get any of that. You have to build the thing to hold the heatsinks and pucks yourself.

Well maybe... Just for fun:

Unfortunately, inner configuration of fixture case is very complicated and can be executed only manually. In addition, carbon is quite expensive material. Therefore the price of this concept-fixture is high. However, if the community is interested in such fixture, its price by small-scale production complete with Redundant Power Supply may be about 2000USD.

Now they have come up with some BEAMS system which they claim gives the spread of t5s plus double the radiation.
It's cheap at approx 200 dollahs for 6 clusters with driver and WiFi controller. I'll give it a shot when it's available on their site.

Any updates? I've been following these guys for years since they did a few articles on Advanced Aquarist showing the path of how they developed their clusters and another on light requirements for corals. They really seem to know what they are talking about. I feel that if they were state side, they would be much more well known.
