Rust in the sump. Triton test needed. Neptune magnet fail

Well.. that sucks.. I have the same mount... I guess I would need to check it often... How long was it in your sump? Think mine has been in for about a year and a half. No signs of rust.

i heard "two little fishes" nori holder, a few had issues then Julian replaced em with no problem, customer service then we send allot of hard earned cash is important
Spent allot on radions and mp 10/40/60,apex modules and was hoping the company backed em up
good luck and hope it solves for you and have a great christmas

I had this happen a while back with a mp40. My inverts and sps started to die and I couldn’t figure out why because my water parameters were perfect. One day I started going through all of my pumps trying to see if something was rusting and also looking for stray voltage. It ended up being the wet side of my MP 40 that was rusting. This was a newer quite drive and ecotech didn’t do anything to help me, didn’t even offer to replace the wet side that nearly crashed my tank

That's that "premium" quality and support you pay for at work.

Something doesn't sound right here - You called or emailed support and they refused to help? Ecotech asks customers to send in defective products for analysis wether it's in or out of warranty. This is an automated system where you don't even need someone to approve an RMA. You fill out the support form on the website and you are emailed an RMA number and instructions to send it in immediately.

Did you send it in and they refused to fix it?

In the last few months Ecotech has fixed 2 items out of warranty.

  • In October, fixed my out of warranty frayed and slightly melting XR30 G4 cable.
  • Replaced the power supply of my Vectra M1 even though it is almost 2 years old.
Both times they said send it in for analysis and a few days later I had it back.

I say contact them again through this form http://ecotechmarine.com/request-service
You'll need a copy of your invoice, you should have an RMA in your email in minutes.

Good luck.

If you have a lot of money and time into your tank it's probably best to do a Triton test at least twice a year. BRS had them on sale this Black Friday for around 35 bucks. After the hurricane I was watching my clams and hermits die. I couldn't figure out why and changed out tons of water. I cleaned my sump and everywhere I could think of. It turned out someone had dropped a pair of pliers into a temporary ATO reservoir. I had a polyfilter in but it never changed colors

5-6 months. I started this system in June 2017. Everything I bought was brand new. I spent $15k to get this system going and I'm not happy....
