Well I would ask seller for a refund, I would like to think it’s something they didn’t notice but there is a possibility that that unit fell into water, I wouldn’t trust it either. If they say no and you paid via PayPal I would dispute transaction and return item.. IMO seller should be paying return postage also. be sure to leave feedback for seller after everything is resolved.
