Good day, so im noticing that my bracing on my 400 gallon is starting to rust through the powder coating. Would anyone know of anything that will cover it without hurting the tank? Thinking of using reef safe silicone and doing a good coat over everything....

Id say you could do plasti-dip but the fumes might be an issue I’d be worried about.

sealing it with some silicone isn't a bad idea! Might just be a little annoying to clean the stand afterwards because of the texture.

Thats exactly what i was thinking. Anything would be better then loosing the bracing from rust lol. But from my experience rust is like a living creature that continues to eat away unless treated then covered. But dont wanna poison the tank

Yeah, it really sucks when these issues come up especially when dealing with hundreds-thousands of pounds of aquarium.

I know Home Depot sells a paint on rust encapsulator, but again the fumes/trace chemicals would be my concern

Definitely worth looking into, drop the water level and do a good coat and let dry. Hope for the best! Better then the rust eating through and loosing my basement...
