I got a fish net for like $4 on amazon. its your basic metal net with mesh. ive noticed that near the mesh part of the net it is rusting (where the metal is open). does this pose a problem to the tank? i don't want chemicals leaking into the water. if so, what is a net that you guys have used that doesn't rust? all the ones i see on amazon and my LFS are pretty similar in make.

The couple minutes your net is in the water is not going to affect your tank.

I would just buy a new one for piece of mind, plus it’s not like your spending a lot of money. You can rinse your new after each use in vinegar to reduce rust.

okay!

do you have any you would suggest that don't rust?
