Rusty Brown Powder?

I don't have a picture I can upload right now because i'm currently at work. I started this tank a little over a month ago and the water has been really clear and then a few days ago it kind of got a really light foggy white color and then a few days ago I looked into the tank and there was this rusty brown powder like stuff covering the rocks and the sand bed. When I hit it with a blast from a turkey baster it disappears but then the next morning its all settled back on the bottom. When I first saw it I thought it was from my reef roids and polyp booster so I've stopped putting that in there for about the last three days but it still looks just as bad. Does anyone know what this is or have any suggestions on what to do about it?

could be flatworms. I had "rust" all over and it was a ton of flatworms

Probably a diatom bloom in such a new tank. They will fade away
