So I've been battling cyano for a few weeks. As the title states this is Ruthless cyano. I have passion for the hobby but this challenge is beginning to become discouraging. I've been using chemical clean every 48 hours 3 times now. I've changed more water than I ever have in the last week and a half. I was using red sea nopox until the slime got so bad. Would that feed the slime or can I still use it? I need some extra tips for this fight as it seems beyond me

IMHO I've been reading a lot about folks having cyano problems using that product. Just an observation. I know nothing about it but lately I've read a lot about cyano problems and several people have been using that same product.

I had cyano. I think it was caused by phosphate leaching out of my dry rock. Water changes, macro algae, vodka dosing, scrubbing the rock with a brush at every water change, and running GFO cleared it up. I probably did not need to do all of the above but it felt better to do everything I could think of.
