I’ve been reefing for about 14 years now this would be my 9th tank over the years. I bought the Reefer 250 second hand and didn’t have enough space for everything underneath incl a chiller. Noise was also a big factor after my previous tank being next to our bedroom. Having the sump outside has been great stable PH no noise and chiller isn’t heating the house. I’ve just started adding Sps after 5 months.

Very nice set up. With the sump being on the external of the home do you have to take special precautions.

yes I have tried to make it weather proof and power supplies etc inside the house.

Bit of an update been a while on this forum. Tank is doing well had a few losses a while ago but tank is coming back strong.

Nearly an 8 week Fluconazol treatment done due to a small patch of Bryopsis and laziness Did a water change this morning, syphoned the detritus from the sump, washed bio media, added carbon back on and had a bacterial bloom. Couple hours later all cleared up and now to get back on dosing aminos and black label as I stopped while using Fluconazol.
Last tests September 8 lol results today

Here is a 12month progression of my Bubblebath Unicorn. It has lost a bit of pop in colour after a long Fluconazol treatment where I stopped dosing Aminos and Coral Essentials Black Label.
