Nice man! The porthole is pretty rad! Your pics are definitely looking much better (:

If you havent bought one, i 100% recommend getting a viewer like one of these, their dirt cheap and not just good for taking pics. You can clearly track growth and look for pest/critters along with the health on your fish/coral. Only downside is when your taking pictures. It alters the photo if your camera isnt straight down on the acrylic so just an example, if i take a picture top down the coral doesnt receive adequate light thus making to photo appear dark and dull. But if i try taking it slanted from the side, im bound to slosh water in the viewer and on my camera. So hopefully soon i can get (or make) a porthole lol

Looks great. I saw you posted about going over the VZ. So I guess your also a Staten Island guy. Where do you get your coral from? I know it's not from A.K. They don't sell frags

Haha welcome local reefer. Not to bash a.k. but man there stupid. If they were smart thed start a frag tank only because their supplyer gets alot of nice colonys. I dont think they care about sw as much as they did when matt (aka sunshine from insane pools) was there. But i dont order online unless its something i want, theres hundreds of diehard jersey reefers/also kenny at pieces of the ocean/ and sometimes popcorals bk. So i usually get a text from all of them when something comes in

cannot stress this enuff,Wether you have a little nano with a couple corals, or a full blown growin collection mixed reef, you guys HAVE to dip and inspect all of your corals. Wether they come from your local reefer, local shop, or a top reputable vendor, you should always and i repeat always inspect every nook and crany of your coral. You guys thing aefws are bad, the spiders are almost unkillable and will haunt you untill you tear you tank down and light it on fire

Edit - also adding that the black line in this pic is the corner piece of an eggcrate, so you can compare the size difference. These spiders are extremely rare but they do make it into home aquaria, they are very tiny and hard to even see with the naked eye, i thank god this didnt make it into my tank. My six line in my frag tank will make work of it untill i feel confident enuff for this piece to go in as a payed a pretty penny for it.

Looking good. You can make a portal for under $5 if you're good at DIY. A 3-4" ABS coupler from HD, a small piece of acrylic, some weldon and a few plastic screws. I used metal self tappers. Works great.

Hey! Fts please. I like that rock work also and sorry about your troubles and good luck with learning to take pics! Once tried I retuned the camera to bestbuy I'll leave at that and I'm following along
