Yea for some reason, alot of my frags are growing fast, some growing slow. Some stop growing. Some start growing, i have no idea whats going on but i think its because of the bubble algae. I only got a phosphate reading for like a month and its bothering me. Its like everytime i pluck out a cup of bubble algae things will resume growing. It beats running gfo ha! But every so often ill take out the big portions bubble algae. My tang eats it and my tanks only a year old but i Just wish it didnt go out of control like it did. It doesnt bother me but still

I've had it happen before too. Pictures sometimes look different on my phone and when I upload them they're totally different. Not sure why.

Yea but adams is .1, isnt high at all, somthing like .3-.4 and above is high and could prob affect growth. Nitrates i feel have nothing to do with browning of corals. Its more like the problem is the nutrient level before everything is converted to n03 p04. We cant test for that.Supposedly bubble algae grows from phosphate or only takes in alot of phosphate i dont know, but it has to be the reason why i havnt got a reading since it got out of control. I used to use gfo, i have now a 3rd vertex media reactor collecting dust because i started just putting r0x carbon in my bubble trap lol. You should go to rap, your crazy if you dont lol

I think prolong exposure to higher phosphate readings will brown out your corals(assuming everyone has done their research and have good lighting). Theres really just so much uncertainty with this hobby so i just try to keep everything easy as possible. My n03 is somewhere from 12 to 25 and my alk is 9.6 now

Well K is now at 400 the 5ml a day did not work for I the next day it would right back down so I went with 10ml and that did it I will be dosing 5ml every other day to try and keep it at 400 it looks like my tank uses up the 5 ml in a day or so

I don't know about dark pictures, maybe the first one but they look sweet. Yeah, I've been sucking bubble algae out also. I hate how bubble algae and aptasia can blend right in and you don't see it. I think you can have low phosphates and still have bubble algae. I stopped using GFO also, much easier without it. Now to go read Adams recent post you guys mentioned.

I got mine up to 400 finally. Ill usually bust out the kit before a waterchange to see where im at.

I really dont mind it, my tangs eat it. But stuffs growing over it lol and some lps will get shoved aside.

How are you liking the ease of the kit? What size is your tank? Are you dosing Potassion?

No matter what i do i cant raise it, i know the whole "algae sucks up phos so you dont get a reading" law will abide, but still. Theres no present p04 available every day according to 4 separate test kits. Its not like i run gfo or have a fuge or anything, but i litterally go through bags upon containers of food a month. Is there another way? Other then dumping food in the tank everyday?
