Love the tank! I am curious what you keep your nitrates at?
Pictures didnt comeout right. Also cracked the sample vial so i had to use an old salifert. The color is somewhere inbetween 12 and 25.

It's really hard to beat the value and image quality of the Tamron 90mm 1:1.
You could spring for the Nikon 105mm, and you'll get better build quality and VR (Tamron has a VR version too if you want it) but the IQ is only like 5% better.
The Tamron is that good.
Unless you truly have the cash laying around, I would get the non-VR Tamron.

You know, ive ben looking at the tamron for a while now. Especially how cheap they are used and brand new. Theres tons of hobbyest that use the tamron 90mm and the pictures come out unbelievable. Ive ben trying to find some feedback for about a month now on all the lenses and honestly, that lens is my #1 eligible bachelor!

Wow on the 3rd on omg. I guess I'm lucky to have kept mine for 9 months ish now! My first go around with sps I burnt the crappy out of them with a Alk at 14... that was november. I've learned a lot since then! I just switched from t5 to metal halide!! I love the look of my tank now. I can't wait to see some great growth in the future!!!

Lol, in the past i had my fox flame colony fall, and started to grow wedged in between rocks. Now its almost impossible for me. Dont wry about n03 either,Overrated imo. Yea everytank is different but i dont think ive ever ran a tank below 5ppm even when i was carbon dosing. Its never caused a problem for me, and ill prob windup causing problems trying to fix it.
