So i didnt want to up my dose, and always wanted to try a little kalk just because of all the benefits associated with it kalkwater. Does not workout how i wanted it to be lolol, i think the sump vibration made it cloudy. This is only 1/4 tspn in a 3 1/2g ato tank

So i was having a convo with a fellow hobbiest the other day, brought me back to a thread with jim welsh. The topic was how i use my neptune dos with dosing. I never looked into researching the whole diurnal alk swing that comes with dosing. (Its a very very small swing), but still. When i change my dose, ill test (just alk) about 3 times a day untill im comphy with what i cameup with. Just for anyone that flips through the thread, heres my graph as of now

I do not run my pumps for 24 hours. From 6am to 1, i dump in enuff alk untill afternoon,(calc inbetween). Then from 5 to about 11 at night is when my alk consumption goes bazerk, so i dose enuff to get to the morning. When i ran both pumps, for little doses through the whole 24 hours. Id get a (again very small) raise in alk, in the morning. And a massive drop in alk at night. I never knew any of this, i adjusted my doses to this setting months ago from testing at morning and at night. Moral of the story, testing goes a long way,you may not be able to spot somthing like this and you will get different results through the day. So if you were to test alk, it should be done at the same time, everytime you decide to test. You could accidently drop .4 dkh more in a day, just from not testing at the same time

Crazy right. Its the voltron milli, about as close as it gets to Battle corals fairy food lol.

That picture looks horrible, my tang tosses it around because of that rancid turf algae and happened to land that way. Didn't realize how crazy it actually looks because I don't really view my tank top down unless I take pics. Under a little more blue it looks awesome, and its deffinitly one of my favorite pieces I own

Lol i seen that, your beat on the warranty. I had a brand new mp40 bleed cups of rust in my tank the first 2-3 months my tank was setup. Had to spend like 40 50 bucks (i think) on metasorb to clean everything out. I just trashed it and bought a jebao Ha!
