You need a bigger tank

Beautiful piece btw.You know what it is, they may or may not change for a quite of bit of time. But 80% of the time theyll return back to their color. Also have seen them turn orange under intense lighting, once shaded theyll returnScored this beauty from a local tank shut down, as soon as I seen it I nabbed it. Have yours held their colour?![]()
Soon =) ill have this tank till it falls apart. Dude its like 120 gallons nowa days doesnt make the cut. But i do have plans for the future. I also have a 300 marineland dd in my basement collecting dust along with every piece of equipment ill ever need to start a tank but im afraid the seams will blowout. Anyway, i already got a quote a little while ago from reef savvy, just dont have the time right now to make big changesYou need a bigger tank![]()

Shes amazing, i love her but she is getting big and the tank is way to small for her, even tho its a 5foot. Once i feel its appropriate, shell go. Prob about another 5-8 months. Also corals are growing, she just started to swim backwards out of certain spots. So maybe sooner then i think =/I've already got a few acan's but none like the one above. It's in shade on the bottom, I've actually got a new tank build started. Nothing exciting just a 3ft.
How is the Naso going? How long before you move it on?
A shame to move her on, did you say she was going to family members tank?Shes amazing, i love her but she is getting big and the tank is way to small for her, even tho its a 5foot. I know! Tanks about 1.5 years old now, should look very pretty by next summer. I started using kalk and stopped dosing potassium, ever since then my algae population is dwindling so it should be gone by then also =)
I was doing it by hand and got lazy really, i would forget, then dose then forget so i gave it up. i was dosing ruffly 1ppm daily (3-4ml brightwell) although i have another dos, an old ghl and 2 icecap dosing pumps collecting dust. I even drip kalk using a water bottle haha! The bubble algae would just grow back, but its completely dieng off somehow. It stopped growing, tangs are feasting, even coralline algae is covering it. Only changes ive made in the past month were bulb changes, started kalk and stopped kWhy did you stop dosing K?

I just bought like 10 liters of Potassion and have been trying to get my numbers up. Those Salifert tests are a royal PIA so I'm just testing weekly. I can't seem to get it above 400.
Other than the decreased bubble algae have you noticed any appreciable loss of color?
Nope colors look great if not better lol. Yea with salifert, you have to make sure the drops come out perfect. Its hard to raise your k levels safely against a salifert test kits imo i wouldnt try it. Water changes alone kept mine somewhat stable
