I know not the best option, however, I needed something to bring up NO3 as my Salifert test has been ready 0-1ppm and I have Dino’s again. I have potassium nitrate on order but it won’t arrive until Tuesday.

What is confusing me is their calculator is saying to dose 40ml but to divide by 5 is using “nitrate equivalent”. So do I dose 8ml or 40ml? I would assume 8ml to get to 10ppm.

Don’t know what you are seeing, but this seems straightforward:

Beginner dose;
Use 2.5 mL (half a cap) for each 160 L (40 US gallons) twice a week or as needed in response to signs of nitrogen deficiency (e.g. stunted growth, chlorosis). For smaller doses, please note that each cap thread is approximately 1 mL.

The beginner dose raises nitrogen by the same degree that 1 mg/L nitrate would

Thus, I’d start by dosing 3x the beginner dose each day. That adds 3 ppm.

I used their calculator on the website and it was saying to dose 40ml but if using a “Nitrate Equivalent” to divide by 5. I dosed 8ml because 40ml divided by 5 is 8 and and hour later nitrates are at 10 according to Salifert test. Will check in the morning and dose again if needed. I do feed 4 times a day pellets while at work and frozen mysis in the evening.

Dosing should be by trial and error anyway, especially with a product that isn’t all nitrate.9

Yes sir thank you again will be getting the better stuff but I’m kind of hoping that this along with extra feedings will keep nitrates and phosphates up to beat these Dino’s again.
