SacReefer's IM Lagoon 50

Makes sense! Saw your thread and tank build... looking forward to seeing how it progress. The copperband butterfly does look pretty awesome in your tank. Does it eat the food you feed your other fish?
It readily eats mysis shrimp the best. It also eats Masstick. I've had it in QT since March 8th, so has had plenty of time to get used to eating. It will chase after the mysis just as fast as the other fish.

I got it before I decided to downgrade, so we'll see how it goes. If it seems unhappy or can't compete I'll look to rehome it. I do like the look of them though!

Sooo it has been about a month since my last update and a lot has changed since then. My LFS finally got some new shipment of fish and I was able to pick up a Red Head Solon Wrasse (got him couple of days ago, so he is still figuring his way around the tank). I have also traded/sold some of the corals (purple torch, leather corals, etc.) for new corals! Got a new Indo Dragon Soul torch (currently slitting into two), orange scoly with yellow markings (looks awesome!), pink tip elegance (not doing well.. have been moving around the tank for the past month), a rainbow fungia plate (still adjusting), green goni, and couple of SPS frags (not exactly sure that they are... freebies as part of a trade). With the exception of the elegance coral and my brain/trachy corals (bleaching/receding), everything else is doing pretty good (anemones are still adjusting/regaining their color as well).

I recently picked up a Prodibio BioKit Reef (includes bacteria/food, vitamins, iodine, etc.)..so far have dosed it twice (you dose it every 15 days) and have noticed significant improvement in water clarity and slight improvement in coral color (but it is kind of too early to tell... I'll give it a month or two). Water parameters have been pretty consistent, so can't complain (salinity 1.026, nitrates 1.0, phosphates 0.01, alk 8.3, cal 450, mag 1380). Also, ended up getting the Kessil light extenders (so I can better center the light over the tank). Definitely worth the money...as the tank has better light spread now (and I can easily re-position the light using the extended range). Ohh... and I switched to a new salt (back to Tropic Marin Reef Pro from HW MarineMix Reefer).

Here are some pics (taken with PolyLab Coral Lens filter):
