Is the egg crate just so the nem doesn't get into the equipment? What is the red tube?Check the tank temp and salinity at the store. If it needs to change to normal (who knows what they have there tanks at) do it over a few days

Very nice. It's fun designing a capable QT or Hospital setup. I really appreciate the ideas here. So much emphasis is put on the main tank, it's easy to miss out on such a cool part of reefing.
I love the rescue and recover part of reefing, I routinely ask people for dying corals on my local forum site in exchange for healthy frags. Watching them recover is just so amazing for me to experience and it makes me feel good. I always make sure the original owner gets a frag back for free because they gave me the opportunity. All my lfs know me now and sell me the dying corals for like 20% of the original price. The most expensive thing in my tank (in terms of what I paid for it) was $100 for my gold octospawn. If you decide to make this a regular thing it’s a great way to get really nice corals for really cheap, great for somebody like me who’s stuck in online school so I don’t have a job but I have plenty of time
Criagslist is always a good place, got an AI Prime HD with the arm for $100. When people post that kind of stuff on here it gets snatched up in minutes
