Sad day

Dang. Sorry to hear. Something potentially contaminating your water? What salinity is your tank/water change at

You have my sympathy. I have done this a long time but sometimes you get up one day and your friend is dead
for no apparent reason.
The ones you raised from tiny things are the worst.

They are fragile in ways we do not always understand.

It happens, I feel the flames are a tender species. Not that it will make you feel better, but I had a diamond goby that I had for 12 hours. Jumped out of the tiniest hole in the screen and carped sturfed, found him on the floor this morning :(

Sucks cuz they are beautiful fish see if I can do some digging and find out where I went wrong with mines
I agree. If I ever tried again it would be with one that I knew was healthy and maybe a bit older. Both of the flame angles I tried were pretty small.

I have a healthy year old tank and I had a flame go belly up in a week . Only fish I’ve lost, I know the coral beauty isn’t nearly as good looking but it seems to be a lot hardier at least for me .

Just getting into saltwater added a beautiful flame angel fish and it died after about 6 days not sure wat happened tested everything it all seems good did a water change yesterday and today it was dead
Sorry to hear that.....Was your flame conditioned before you put it in your tank? Just FYI, I do hold flames for 30 days and then ship....I'd be happy to help you out with a deal if you're interested. No fun losing fish!

I think coral beauty angles are amazing. Maybe only second to potters angles. Flames are nice and bright.

Yea mines was pretty small as well sucks cuz even my kids love the way they look

Yeah I drip acclimated repeated that about 3 times before I put it in and yes I would love to work something out

I like coral beauty it's just that when I started my tank I had my eye on a flame angel I'm still fresh in the hobby so I see so many fish and be like man that would look great in my tank eventually as well.

I get it. It's hard to stick to a stocking plan when you stumble upon fish that take your breath away. It's easy to justify the price or that it is ok to add it now when it is right in front of you.

Super hard sticking to a plan and being a beginner makes me question and research every little thing 3 times before I take the step and to be honest it was so hard to stay patient it took probably almost 3 months for my tank to cycle and then I still waited just to make sure
