Sad finger leather

I've had this finger leather about a month for the first 2 weeks it was out and open the last 7 to 10 days its looked shriveled up numbers are below any ideas what I should do maybe try another spot?

Alk 8.5

I dont have personal experience with that particular leather, but I have a Sinularia and a Sarcophyton, and they sometimes look like that when they shed their top layer of skin.
Usually they have a waxy or glossy appearence and you can see a thin film shed from the coral.
Maybe your Finger leather is shedding for some reason?

That's what I thought too Ive tried blasting some water on it with a turkey baster it's still retracted
