Found my male clownfish laying peacefully on the bottom behind a rock this morning. Female still doing well. His name was "poppers" and he was 14 years old.

I'd like to think I did ok and gave him a good life. Figured I'd post here. Not many people would care when you tell them your fish died. But he was more than a fish to me.

RIP Poppers

So sorry. I am sure you'll miss him big time.

I'm so sorry. People without fish don't understand how attached we become to them. If he lived 14 years you gave him a wonderful life.

sorry to hear about that :(

Sorry for your loss. That's a good lifespan. He's in a much bigger and brighter ocean now..

Sorry to hear that. At 14 years though, I'm sure you were doing many things right. Kudos to you for dedicating 14 years of your life to proper care.

14 years that's amazing!! Some people can't even last them a few weeks, great job for giving him a long healthy life! Any fish in your care I'm sure is in good hands

14 years is amazing I'm very sorry for your loss and for your female clown fishes loss I hope she's OK

Condolences. I know what it's like to bond with a fish for a few years, but over a decade is so much more. Hope you're able to recreate that success again in the future.
