Came home today from work to check on my tank......

I found my lawnmower blend dead on the side of my tank. Im wondering if I had stressed it yesterday when I had to move around some of the rocks yesterday to kill aiptasia. Very sad... he was one of my favorite fish because of the personality.

I'm gonna go pout and be sad now..

I’m sorry. I hate when we lose pets.

Can I mention to just check water parameters to be sure nothing is out of line and everyone is doing good.

I had the same with a damsel and clown a while ago. i changed from a canister to hob i transferred all the media over so it wouldn't recycle in the morning i found my damsel dead in the rocks and my clown struggling luckily with some shrimp and garlic my clown pulled through and is doing well now back to his normal self i have no clue to what caused it
good luck in the future sorry for your loss

Sorry for your loss. He may have not been stressed at all, just showing you how happy he was by doing a back flip. He just missed the landing. Fish jump... you can make a screen for your tank to prevent this. I'm not sure if you ment on the inside or outside of the tank. Disregard if it was inside.

Sorry for your loss. Although the average person might view it as “meh, just a fish”, we of the reef tribe understand that every little critter we care for is an individual with a personality and everything else. Losing a fish is never easy

Just to clarify, "on the side of your tank" is inside or outside of the tank? If inside, a parameter check would be prudent. If outside, then you need yourself a cover, many reef fish, including lawnmower blennies, are jumpers.

I'm sorry he was inside the tank lying upside down in the corner in the sand.
