I recently setup a Fluval Flex 32.5 Reef tank. It has a great app where I can set the percentage of different colors(Pink, Cyan, Blue, Purple, Cold White).

The tank is in a bright room during daylight hours, and I wanted to avoid any algae related issues further down the line, which I had with a smaller tank in the same room in the past.

So, was wondering which colors would be safe to run during the day along with the bright natural daylight. I assume a reduced amount of the Cold White?

Which colors are algae safe? Blue....any others?

Thanks!

There is not an algae safe color. Various algaes can use a variety of wavelengths.

Do you have direct sunlight on the tank? Is it in front of a window?

The sunlight thing is just an old myth. Unless the tank is right up against a window the amount of usable sunlight is tiny compared to the lights over the tank itself. I would not worry.
