With three tanks in the house it's quite a pain to have to go to the basement for additives everyday for a tank that's upstairs. My question is it is safe to put the product(iodine supplement in this case) in a different character? I was looking at using a kikkoman soy sauce bottle that's empty. If I wash it is it safe to use to store additives in?

I would just go to a dollar store and get cheap bottles (food grade). If the product is stored in a colored bottle (like an all white bottle), purchase a similar bottle for the same item. The reason for this is that some additives should not be exposed to light.
