Safe glue to use?

So this past weekend when I was moving my circulation pump, the plastic joint broke off. The company it's made by is sending me a new one since it was under warranty. I guess they are letting me keep the broken one. I figured if I found out a way to glue the power head back on the suction cup I would be in good shape and this will all work in my advantage. So what type of glue can I use that is going to hold up well and be safe to use in my tank?

Nope! I've used various JB products...including that one......and many other brands as well. I haven't met an epoxy that would cause an issue in our tanks.

Many of the two part expoxies are not really waterproof and will soften over time underwater.

I have used a water proof marine expoxy to repair a shattered skimmer without issues but it specifically said "waterproof".

I've also become a big fan of TAP polyweld...it's bondstrength is excellent - it won't soften and it sticks to just about any plactic out there - even LDPE and HDPE. One thing though - it is not rated for potable water. I've used it anyway on broken fitting on an RODI unit - excellent stuff - no problems. If you've got something to glue and nothing seems to work - try this stuff.
