Safety precautions when connecting ATO to Apex?

Wondering if the pros know of any tips or precautions that should be taken when plugging a non-Neptune ATO into an Apex?

No issues for me - I have a Tunze ATO. Just remember to never trust automation - fail safe way is to NOT have unlimited water supply from your ATO. My Apex’s programming is to turn off the ATO under feed mode or when my return is off. Other than that, an ATO is just an ATO - top off water but will not overflow the tank with fresh water.
