Hi there, maybe my question is stupid, but with pregnant wife, I dont want to take risk. I am in the process of installing a calcium reactor and I was wondering if I should install a co2 detector in case of a leak or something?

I dont think that is required unless its for yours and hers piece of mine. I would just get a nice set of new dual gauges. Dual gauges show the stepped down flow. You want very little pressure before the final needle valve bubble counter. If it was to leak after the needle valve on the way to the reactor the amount would be very small. You would notice the leak, as the ph in the reactor would be very high.

you’d hear it I’d the tank spontaneously dumped 10 pounds of co2 in the air. Maybe in a small room that would be dangerous. Temporarily. Maybe not. A slow leak though? No different from having a few extra people in the house.
