This guy has made through 14 days of copper eating good and looks fine. I just transferred him to new QT and plan on running GC now. My question is about GC and live rock. Should I pull the live rock out before GC? I don’t ever plan to use this rock in DT but I do want to keep it for observation tanks and starting new QT’s.

I would take out since it may absorb the medication and lower the dosage/ potency. Then you would not have to worry about using again.

actually curious why running GC? If for internal parasites. Just mix with food then you can leave rock in.

No reason just trying to keep DT clean. I haven’t FW dipped this guy and not sure of flukes. I thought GC was just protocol? All my other fish went through GC.

I know the rock will absorb copper I wasn’t sure about GC. I’ll just get the next QT started now with this rock and run GC in this tank without rock.
