Since yesterday, my Sailfin has not been acting normal. Normally she shreds nori when I add it to the tank. Yesterday, no go. She also does not seem to be eating well.
She’s an OG member of my tank and unknown years old. Everyone else seems to be doing fine.

I did just add 2 clams and several corals from a tank tear down. Along with 2 aptasia file fish to help combat the aptasia the clams and corals had.

I’m concerned if possibly gill flukes might have been introduced? She seems to be surfing the gyre currents a lot.

Any suggestions/ideas?

Video of her today.

Thanks!

Lack of appetite and swimming into the air flow a lot is typically a sign of velvet. I also noticed heavy breathing in the video.

It's hard to tell in the video, is there any other strange behavior or visible changes to the body of the fish, dusting, white dots, color fading?

Unfortunately adding anything new to the tank can bring along unwanted pathogens.

Do you have a QT setup?

Looking at her, and I do not see anything abnormal on the outside. Fins are clear as well as body. She's in her medium coloration, so that is normal (She can go from very pale to super dark depending on mood).

I don't do a traditional QT, though I could set up if needed. Typically do an observation period before adding any fish.

Do clams bring unwanted parasites in? I am following as I have a sailfin and I want a clam too.
Adding anything wet to the aquarium so this means clams and other inverts cary a risk of unwanted parasites.

I would setup the QT just in case you need to act fast. The heavy breathing and swimming into the air flow seems a bit concerning. It could be flukes but typical behaviors are twitching, scratching, excessive yawning, flashing, etc.

Keep in mind that flukes tend have a slower progression vs velvet that kills within 24-48 hours in many cases.
